The Wild is an expanding minecart that fills a whole reel when it lands, the Scatter is a mineshaft that triggers free spins from three symbols on reels 1, 3, and 5, and the diamond Money symbols only pay out when the Collect miner symbol appears alongside them.

  • Card symbols A-K-Q-J form the low-paying tier
  • Lantern, Pickaxe, Dynamite, and Helmet make up the premium ladder, with Helmet on top
  • Money symbol values are random and only pay through the Collect feature

Estimate a payout, but treat it as a ceiling

This calculator applies the stated total-bet cap to your stake. Real results depend on which symbols land, how far the Wild expands, and how far a Collect run goes in free spins — most spins land well under the maximum shown here.

How the Wild, Scatter, and Money symbols play out on the reels

Cash Mine runs on a 5-reel, 3-row grid with 10 fixed paylines, and the symbol set is split into a low-paying card tier and a themed premium tier. Before you look at multipliers or bonus mechanics, it helps to know the order: A, K, Q, and J sit at the bottom, followed by Lantern, Pickaxe, Dynamite, and Helmet, with Helmet as the top regular-paying symbol on the reels.

The Wild appears as an ore cart, and it does more than substitute for other symbols. When it lands, it expands to cover the entire reel it's on, which means one Wild can complete several paylines at once instead of just one. Watch for it specifically on the middle reels — an expansion there touches the most active lines and tends to produce the largest single-spin swings in the base game.

The Scatter is shown as a mine entrance, and it only counts toward the free spins trigger when three of them land on reels 1, 3, and 5 at the same time. Scatters landing on reels 2 or 4 don't contribute to the count, so a near-miss with two Scatters on the outer reels and one in the wrong spot won't start the feature.

Money symbols are the diamond icons that carry a random cash value, but they don't pay on their own. A payout only happens when the Collect symbol — shown as the miner — lands in the same spin as one or more diamonds, at which point their combined value is added to your win. Reviewers group the diamond values into three rough bands: small, medium, and big, with the biggest diamonds carrying noticeably higher totals than the small ones.

Inside free spins, the Collect symbol keeps working the same way, but it also feeds a level bar. Filling that bar can add extra spins on top of the initial round, upgrade the diamond values in play, or trigger respins, which is why the free spins round is described as building rather than staying flat from start to finish.

Taken together, the Wild's expansion, the Scatter's reel-position requirement, and the separate Money-Collect layer are the three things worth watching on any given spin — far more than the individual pay values of the card or lantern symbols.

Symbol and paytable questions

Does the expanding Wild cover the whole reel or just the position it lands on?

It expands to fill the entire reel once it appears, so a single Wild can complete multiple paylines in one spin.

Which reels can the Scatter mineshaft symbol land on to start free spins?

Three Scatters need to land on reels 1, 3, and 5 specifically; scatters landing on the other reels don't count toward the trigger.

Do the diamond Money symbols pay out on their own?

No — a Money symbol only pays when the Collect miner symbol lands in the same spin and gathers its value; without the Collect symbol present, the diamonds sit on the reels without paying.

What's the difference between the small, medium, and big Money symbols?

They're separated by value range rather than a fixed payout: small diamonds carry the lowest total-bet multipliers, medium ones sit in the middle band, and big diamonds carry the highest values before the Collect symbol totals them up.

Is the Helmet really the top-paying symbol before the Wild?

Yes — across the reviewed paytables the Helmet sits above Dynamite, Pickaxe, and Lantern as the highest regular-paying symbol, with only the Wild paying more.

Can the Collect symbol still add value during the free spins round?

Yes — inside free spins, Collect symbols also advance a level bar that can add extra spins, upgrade Money values, and trigger respins, on top of collecting whatever diamonds are showing.
